A semi-detached, brick-built, former railway worker's cottage, built in the 1830s by the Whitby-Pickering Railway Company. The cottage is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Ruswarp, approximately 1.5 miles from Whitby, with a riverside location on the banks of the River Esk.
The cottage is owned and run by Joan Hall who lives next door and offers a friendly welcome and on-the-spot help. We endeavour to provide good quality accommodation and facilities at reasonable prices. Cleanliness is our top priority and we work hard to clean the cottage thoroughly between bookings.
We are open all year round and offer bookings on a weekly basis or short breaks from three nights upwards. Two night weekend breaks are also available during the low season. Bookings can begin on any day of the week (not just Saturdays). We also accept last minute bookings. A telephone call or email will reserve your preferred dates pending receipt of the booking form and deposit.
This is a "No Smoking" property. The cottage sleeps 4 people and is unsuitable for pets or very young children (there are no cot facilities).
The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure and can be found on the B1416 directly opposite the garage, Sneaton Lane Body Repairs.
